My Savvy Sisters now offers an emotional crisis hotline to help our sisters through anxiety and emotionally stressful situations.
We offer this service free of charge to women who have signed up to become a member of our list serve and for those who elect not to, you may offer a donation.
How It Works
If you are in an emotionally stressful situation and you wish to receive crisis coaching from a volunteer please do call us at 678-590-1487 and leave your name, telephone number and the scope of your problem.
Your call will be returned within 24 hours by a volunteer for My Savvy Sisters who will offer a word of encouragement, a listening ear and help you to sort through your emotions. Please understand that if you are in an actual emergency situation, it would be best to call 911 as our volunteers are unable to respond immediately.
To get in contact with someone who has access to information about services in your area, you should try calling 211.
You may also elect to set up a life transition coaching session with the publisher by following these instructions.
We may not have all the answers, but we do care enough to listen.
I just came upon your website tonight and am impressed with ‘The Rebuild Your Life Project’ and the other outreach services you offer for women!
For the past decade I worked as a director of nonprofits that served homeless women, men, and families. I applaud your efforts. I had one suggestion if you don’t mind.
Regarding the Emotional Crisis Hotline, I would encourage you to put a disclaimer on link and page. The hotline is great but it’s important for women to know it is not a ‘crisis’ line. I would recommend those in immediate danger call 9-1-1 (if in the US) or their local emergency services, or contact the Crisis Line in their city (most can be reached by dialing 2-1-1 in the US). Also, I’d include the phone numbers for the National Domestic Violence Hotline and the National Suicide Hotline.
Thanks again for your hard work. I wish you every success in your important endeavors.
