Yeah. I was sold after I saw this video so I made it on over to the YMCA just in time for the class to begin. Actually, I was about 5 minutes late but there were at least 4 bikes open and I chose one on the back row. I watched the other people pedaling, hopped on and joined them.
After about one minute I started to regret it.
Yes, the music was awesome, all hard hitting music like Brittany Spears’ Work Bitch.
Yes, the energy of the instructor was contagious.
Yes, it was kind of cool to join a sea of sweaty hard bodies who do this regularly but you know what- that seat hurt my ass so much.
That seat tore my vaginal area up! That seat hurt my ass. Like, at this very moment as I type this- my private areas are sore. It feels like someone took a wooden paddle and beat me there and not in a good way.
So yeah, I sweated a LOT, more than I have ever sweated in my life. I stood up and pedaled. I sat down and pedaled. I rocked back and forth. I increased my resistance. I felt cool for a little bit but completely out of my league for the rest of the time. Afterwards I learned I had burned 744 calories. That’s amazing!
Will I go back? Of course I will. But only once a week because literally my butt can’t take it.
